Continuing your Membership as a Sustainer

There are many ways to stay active and involved in the Junior League of Galveston County after becoming a Sustainer!

Benefits include:

• Membership in the Association of Junior Leagues International (AJLI) and the Junior League of Galveston County, Inc.
• Reduced annual Sustainer Dues
• Invitations to exclusive events hosted by the Junior League of Galveston County such as:
  • Back to the League dinner held in August every year
  • Annual Gala
  • Annual Sustainer Tea with the year’s New Member Class
  • Annual Dinner at the end of each League year to celebrate JLGC’s accomplishments
  • Sustainer Events
  • Community and Cultural Events
  • Hosting Satellite Meetings

Criteria for becoming a Sustainer

An active member in good standing may request a status change to Sustainer after they have met all of the current year’s requirements and completed a total of 7 years of active membership.

How to Request a Status Change to Sustainer

Current Members

If you are currently an active member in good standing and you believe that you have met the requirements to become a sustainer, please complete the Membership Status Change Request form. Please note that all Status change requests must be received no later than February 15th to be considered for the upcoming League year.

Transfer Members

If you are currently a Sustaining Member in another League, please visit our Transfer Membership page and follow the steps outlined to initiate your transfer.

Lapsed Membership

If you are a Sustaining member and you believe that your membership is out of date and would like to be reinstated, we would be delighted to welcome you back and have you rejoin our mission!  Please complete the Membership Reinstatement Request form and someone from our Membership team will reach out.
